The participants of the class are encouraged to foster body awareness and increase their creative potential through directed improvisations. These exercises focus on intimate spaces between body parts and their relationships. Starting by recognizing the existing structure of the body to later deepen into the endless possibilities of its alterations. As a result, a sense of concentration and attention to detail is developed, allowing to explore the world around us yet connected with ourselves.


Workshops lasts three days.

Iván Pérez - works as a choreographer based in the Netherlands, acclaimed for his fluid, bright style and talent for establishing physical and emotional intensity. Former dancer with the Netherlands Dance Theater, Iván received his degree in Choreography from the Rey Juan Carlos University and has won several awards, both as a dancer and as a choreographer, in international competitions. Besides his work as associate choreographer with the dutch production house Korzo, he has successfully set and made new work for companies such as the Netherlands dans Theater, Compañía Nacional de Danza, Balletboyz, Ballet Moscow, Dance Forum Taipei, ZfinMalta Dance Ensemble, River North Dance Chicago and Leipzig Ballet. His works tour in the Netherlands and in international festivals and they have been shown at venues like the prestigious Sadler´s Well Theater in London, the National Theater of Taipei and the Auditorium Theater of Roosevelt University in Chicago. Pérez collaborates regularly with theater directors and film makers. He develops a methodology of movement and education in collaboration with Hannah Shakti Bhuler and the Frankfurt University for Music and Performing Arts. All his works are philosophical, highly physical, poetic and visceral.
