With each edition of the festival, we get the impression that it has been bigger, more interesting and better organized. This time we have no doubts: none of the previous year’s finals was like the one we saw on Friday!
Children from Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Nepal, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Poland and Sweden prepared a performance under the guidance of the artists from the Awake Project, a performance into which every group has put its own unique elements. A long standing ovation has recalled the children on stage, dispelling their doubts in the performance’s success. It was difficult to say goodbye, but, as the coordinator of the Brave Kids Project Anastasia Gołaj said, it is only a beginning of something beautiful.
After the break, Royal Drummers of Burundi entered the stage, carrying their instruments on their heads. During the performance they showed top-class musical abilities – no one doubted that we dealt with virtuosos of the instrument. It seems that they have enjoyed the show as well: they usually
have breaks during their performances, but thanks to the enthusiastic reception from the audience they played non-stop as if they were enchanted…
We want to thank all the people who joined us during those 8 days of the festival. Your participation has its material advantage: we have gathered almost 90 thousand zlotys, which will be donated to the victims of the recent earthquake in Yushu, Tibet. We also thank the volunteers; it is because of them that this edition of the Brave Festival could have taken place. We want to send our appreciation to all the patrons, benefactors and sponsors! We are already thinking about the next edition.
